Is the post-Sandy concern about the potential disruption of the election in the northeast (i.e. New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) really about the ability of voters in those states to get to the polls or, is it possible, this is the beginning of a storyline to prepare us for the potential outcry if Mitt Romney wins the national popular vote but the President is re-elected because he wins the electoral college?
"With turnout projected to be down in all these states, Mr. Obama could see his share of the national popular vote reduced."
