Earlier this week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service issued a permit that will allow a Goodhue County wind farm that was bitterly opposed by residents of the County to proceed in spite of the acknowledgement that the 48-turbine project will kill 8 to 15 eagles a year.

According to an article in the Star Tribune, this “could be the first case of federal authorities issuing a license to kill the protected national symbol.”  Isn’t this another case of federal authorities killing citizens’ rights and our national symbol of freedom?
