Matt Schmidt was elected to the Minnesota Senate last November.  According to information he provided during the campaign, this was Mr. Schmidt’s background before his election:

“Since 2007, Matt has worked as an independent consultant focusing primarily on the areas of economic development, community broadband deployment and transportation policy.  Integration of “21st Century infrastructure” is a primary focus of his work – and his research.”

If the Mayor of Redwing has a conflict of interest, why isn’t Red Wing’s State Senator being held to the same standard?
