A week ago the cables on the bridge that spans Hiawatha failed, and they had to shut down pedestrian, motor and LRT traffic on the route.

Now the so called 'bridge' has cracks in it.

It cost at least 8 million dollars to build a BIKE BRIDGE, that is now falling down.

Senator Amy Klobuchar, your sound bite is calling you. "Bridges don't fall down in America", she said after the 35W bridge collapsed.

Well. I guess BIKE bridges that are WASTES of taxpayer dollars DO actually fall down when they aren't designed properly.

Guess what?

And this is something they won't tell you in the nice articles expressing concern such as the one I have posted a link to from the Evil Neighbor. No, the Sabo bridge was not designed as a senior Art Project at MCAD. The Sabo bridge was designed by the same people that designed the original 35W bridge -- the one that also fell down.

Nothing like state work if you can get it, huh?

Remind me not to have them design my new house.
