Minneapolis Mayor RT Rybak, after consulting with business and city leaders in the past few weeks, has decided not to pursue a bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Rybak had previously hinted that the city might pursue an Olympic bid alongside bids for a Super Bowl and the Democratic National Convention.
Here is Rybak's letter to the United States Olympic Committee, explaining his decision.
